INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER

Reports to: Head of Processing Infrastructure

Location: Munich

The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for project managing IT infrastructure projects, including networks, security, platforms, storage, database and middleware projects. The successful candidate will undertake all aspects of project management in order to deliver the objectives within, the time, cost and quality constraints. Projects will vary in value, size, risks and complexity.

KEY RESPONSIBiLITIES

  • Manage the day-to-day definition and delivery aspects of the infrastructure project portfolio
  • Manage and define scope and undertake deliverables to support the delivery of projects
  • Stakeholder analysis and communication plans
  • Manage infrastructure projects in a timely and efficient manner
  • Plan and execute the global data centre strategy in collaboration with the infrastructure management, and team members
  • Drive the improvement of the infrastructure project management methodology
  • Execute (Cloud) vendor evaluation based on the RFP method
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
  • Plan and milestone management and matrix resource management

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex infrastructure projects
  • Ability to own technical issues and see them through to resolution
  • System administration experience within a mixed environment (Window/Unix/Cloud)
  • Ability to own delivery roadmaps and execute them on time and to budget
  • Develop and support the creation of the functional specification and statement of works, and be able to contribute to 3rd party supplier contract creation
  • Hands-on experience managing project portfolios and stakeholders
  • Ability to pull together business case information to support technology requirements
  • Good estimating, scheduling and budgeting skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyse, forecast and prioritise based on business benefit
  • Be able to work with technical experts to understand the impact of architecture, data management and security on our solutions
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to create engaging presentations and present to stakeholders
  • Strong leadership in a confident and able way, encompassing the company’s values at all times
  • Familiarity with project management tools
