Here is some information regarding our fundraisers we have planned for this season. We regret to inform you that the Rail Yard Dawg vouchers had to be sold before the Rail Yard Dawg season began, so those are not being offered anymore this year. We apologize, and will do a better job of getting those out to families who want them for next year! We plan to collect all raffle tickets and checks at practices on the Monday and Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Please have tickets sold by then and ready to hand in. At this point, you will receive a skate-a-thon donor sheet, or you can print it from here. Hockey Fundraising Information
Raffle Tickets: Get a book of 10 raffle tickets to sell per family. This is optional, but all tickets have to be sold in order to be able to participate in the skate-a-thon. Tickets cost $10 a piece and winners could win one of two $500 cash prizes to be drawn prior to Christmas at a RYD game. Proceeds from this will go to our Organization to keep dues down, and buy necessary equipment. There will be a collection date to hand these in to a Fundraising Committee Board Member, so be on the lookout for that. Please DO NOT hand these in to coaches or anyone other than Fundraising Committee Board Members (Jeff Fuller, Steve Devlin, Corey Payne, Joe Rosenberg, Kazia Williams). Please NO CASH. If someone pays in cash, please write a check payable to Valley Youth Hockey Assoc. so that we can be sure to keep track of who has turned in tickets and paid.

Skate-a-Thon: When you have sold all 10 raffle tickets for your family, all hockey players in your family are eligible for Skate-a-thon. See the attached pledge sheet and begin collecting donations for the skate-a-thon. All funds raised will go towards your player’s hockey dues for next year. Prizes will be awarded for players who collect the most money. All CHECKS should be turned in on the day of skate-a-thon which will be held on Wednesday, February 7th.

RYD Game Ticket Vouchers: You have the option to sell books of 8 ticket vouchers good for any Rail Yard Dawg game this season. Books of eight cost $104 which is due at the time you receive your booklet, payable with a check made out to Valley Youth Hockey Assoc. If you break it down, tickets cost $13 a piece which is the same amount you would pay if you were to buy your ticket at a game. However, with these vouchers, $24 from each booklet sold will go towards your child’s hockey dues for next year! There is a limit of 3 ticket voucher books per player.These need to be bought before the Rail Yard Dawg season begins. Contact Information:
Restaurant Nights: We have made the second Monday of each month an official restaurant fundraising night! The idea is that if we eat at the specified restaurant on that day, a certain percentage of sales will go to Valley Youth Hockey Assoc. We need your participation to make this a success. Please like “Valley Youth Hockey Association” on Facebook, and follow our events. We post an event for each of these restaurant nights, and more people see the event if you like and share it. We will try to have paper fliers available at practices before each restaurant night to hand out to friends and family, or help you remember.

Kroger Rewards: Go to Kroger.com and sign up for the community rewards! Choose Valley Youth Hockey Assoc. and when you use your Kroger card, a percentage of what you spend will go towards your child’s dues for next year! Pay attention to emails every quarter, because we will let you know when it’s time to screenshot your earnings on Kroger.com and submit to us so we know who should be getting money off dues. Summer Skates: Be on the lookout for a table at practice with order forms for Junior Rail Yard Dawg Summer skates! They are sandals with hockey laces across the top, and will feature the Junior RYD logo! Pictures of the sandals, prices, and sizing will all be available at the table!
