Dr.Mellott'squalificationsinclude:

Shehasexperiencewithimprovingpatient/customersatisfaction andquality,decreasing costs, medicalstaffcredentialing,OPPE/FPPE,and otherareaswhileinvolving teamsfromthe facility,including physicians andadministrativestaff.
Shehasextensiveexperiencewith thesurveyprocess,especiallywith DNVandTheJointCommissiononstandards andsurveys.Dr.Mellottis aDNVhealthcaresurveyor.
She is amemberoftheTexasAdvisoryBoardon HAIand PreventableAdverseEvents. Dr.Mellott is anAssociatesClinicalProfessor forTexasWomen'sUniversityin Houston,Texasnursing master’sprogram.
Dr. Mellottalso contracts asclinical facultyforNationalAssociationforHealthcareQuality.
Dr. Mellotthasheld CPHQcertification since 1991andhasbeen aFellowof the National AssociationofHealthcareQuality since1999.
DrMellotthasnumerouspublications andaddressesgroupsaround thecountryregarding healthcarequalityand performanceimprovement.Currently,Dr. Mellott isthePresident,CEO ofMellottAssociates,whichprovidesconsulting services tohealthcarefacilitiesand groups.

TheHQCBexamination is availableforadministrationin computer-basedformatat more than100AMPAssessmentCentersgeographicallydistributedthroughout theUnited States(thelocations in Indiana areEvansville,Ft.Wayne,and Indianapolis).
A potentialcandidatecan submit an applicationon-lineand schedulea timetotaketheteston thesameday.Theoretically, acandidatecould sitfor anexaminationthe weekhe/sheapplies.The on-line applicationsubmissionis currentlyavailable onthe AMPwebsite( thelinkonHQCB’swebsite(
The acceptanceofthecandidate’sapplication isvalidfor90days.A candidatewhofailstoschedule anappointment for anexaminationwithin the90dayperiod forfeitstheapplicationand all feespaid to taketheexamination.A completeapplication andexaminationfeearerequired toreapply fora futureexamination.
TheonlyQuality Management certification examprocessfullyaccreditedbytheNationalOrganization forCompetencyAssurance
