Health Guarantee & Health Care

  1. The Breeder guarantees this kitten is free from FeLV & FIV at time of sale. A health record will be given to the buyer listing vaccinations given, deworming, flea/tick preventive, or other health care. All FoundationBreeding cats, in my cattery, have tested Negative for FeLV & FIV.
  2. The Buyer has 5days, to have the kitten examined by a veterinarian of their choice. If a vet finds the kitten positive for FeLV or FIV, return the kitten immediately for a refund. Every effort is made to keep kittens healthy & free from fleas/ticks/mites. Kittens will not be replaced, or refunded, with common, kitten/feline problems. Health care & prevention is a requirement throughout the lifetime of a cat.
  3. Replacement Guarantee only if Forestdolls Cattery is still breeding Norwegian Forest Cats.
  4. Replacement Guarantee only if buyer completes initial veterinarian well kitten exam, within 5 days of purchase. Following up for vaccinations as recommended.
  5. The kitten is guaranteed 1 yr. from purchase to be free from inherited health problems. Examples, Cardiac myopathy (HCM), glycogen storage disease, Polycystic Kidney Disease(PKD). Other fatal defects on a case by case basis. The kitten would be replaced, when available, after the breeder receives vet documentation/necropsy results. Only one replacement will be given. Shipping fees will be the responsibility of the buyer.
  6. There is NO guarantee againstcorona virus or toxoplasmosis parasite, commonly found in cats. New pet owners are encouraged to get vaccinations for Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia.
  7. NO guarantee on the disposition of a kitten or cat. Each kitten is different. Average length of time to settle into new a home, is 2 to 3 weeks. Brave kittens, settle in quickly. Elusive kittens with a high sense of self preservation, will take longer.
  8. Pet kittens must be altered by 7 months of age. If not done, Buyer owes seller an additional $600.
  9. Under no circumstances will the breeder/seller be responsible for veterinarian bills incurred by the buyer of a kitten or cat.

  1. Being bought as a PET(must be altered. Depending on the age of the kitten or circumstances the breeder may hold the registration papers, until proof of alter is received.
