Maintenance Exposure:

  • Plan, lead and direct the maintenance activities of a wide range of Control Systems in the assigned area, and coordinate these activities with operations and other maintenance sections.
  • Provide field supervision over the execution of critical maintenance activities of the equipment and ensure that the problems are resolved with minimum down time.
  • Maintain and performed troubleshoot of Instrument control systems (ICSS,Fire and Gas, Scada, RTU, Gas turbine control system (TMR) and equipments in facility.
  • Prepare various maintenance performance reports such as Preliminary Failure and Root Cause Analysis Reports
  • Evaluate the manpower requirement for daily preventive, break down and shutdown maintenance job schedule.
  • Maintained all engineering files and ensured that all modification work carried in facility was in accordance to company procedures
  • Coordinated with Maintenance Planning team(Maximo 7 CMMS) and developed preventive maintenance programs and implemented
  • Developed and recommended innovative systems/procedures that contribute to improve the reliability, availability and integrity of the plant
  • Provided assistance and support to Major & minor Projects, Plant Changes etc. as and when required.
  • Developed maintenance and operating procedures for various instrumentation equipments
  • Compile/provide input for preparation of division/department Capital and Operating budgets and monitor annual expenditure budgets.
  • Engineering for replacement of obsolete systems / instruments

Project & Commissioning experience:

  • Documented SIL objective of Production facilities , associated equipment and assessment
  • Attended (customer end) FAT for ICSS with M/S Yokogawa Centum V/P network
  • Participated SAT &commissioning activities for Brown &Green field and follow up documents
  • Implemented the lean philosophy to ensure continuous improvements across all areas of control engineering
  • Review and approve the project functional design spec; Scada and DCS system design drawings, database and construction procedures, including; DCS control schemes, Instrument functional diagrams, loop diagrams, I/O assignments, etc
  • Review & approve FAT and SAT procedures and attend the Testing the control systems during FAT and SAT test.
  • Provide on-site inst. /control engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning stage.
  • Witness and sign off construction activities as completed, including loop functional checks, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the new systems
  • Reviewing & commenting on documents submitted by FEED, EPCC etc
  • Participation in Technical Meetings with Vendors and Clients/Consultants

May 2006 –Present working with Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operation (ADCO) as an Instrument Control maintenance Foreman (oil & gas section), in U.A.E (60/30- on /off cycle)

  • Involved corrective& predictive , preventive &shut down maintenance activities of production facilities such as, Centralized Degassing station, Remote degassing station, Gas compressor, Gas turbine,utilities associated Instrument and control system.
  • Preparing frequent alarm (process &events) list and analyzing with Production in charge and clear the same for stabilizing production facilities. (Monthly basis)
  • Member of Permit to work system(ePTW) audit team Safety Inspection audit team (SIAT) andparticipating periodic audit, find out upset and reporting to HSE Division.
  • Monitor the work order status for obstacles, and to re-schedule the task if required
  • Handle CMMS software as main organization tool, follow-up the Company Management System and associated procedures
  • Monitor distributed control systems performance and proposes required modifications/enhancement and tuning of hardware, operating systems or network systems to improve system efficiency and performance and ensure maximum availability of systems
  • Monitor and records the performance, failures and serviceability of all instrumentation systems and equipment and reports on the activities undertaken
  • Co-ordinate with operations personnel for start-up and shut-down of instrumentation equipment.
  • Formulate a weekly, monthly and yearly activity report with deadlines
  • Responsible for completing on time all maintenance related safety and audit action items allocated to the Instrument section

Worked March 2002 to April 2006 with various oil and gas field in Middle East region (Qatar, Oman, &U.A.E(Offshore))

  • Involved Retrofit of Gas turbine control system of GE-Fanuc for 2 nos TB RUSTON
  • Preparation of work-pack for plant shut-down activities
  • Involved Commissioning, start-up activities of Recycle Gas compressor of GE NUOVAPIGNONE for 3units (Frame5) with the Turbine vendor in Qatar Petroleum at NGL 4 ARAB D
  • Worked shutdown maintenance of Gas train at Qatar gasLNG and
  • Participate in HAZOP and design reviews, assist project engineers in resolution of engineering issues in order to improve the reliability of the instrumentation systems to designed capacity, especially for hazardous areas.
  • Reviewed and approved the comments report when appropriate and maintains accurate records of all activities carried out.
  • Performed calibrations, loop checks, functional testing and verification of controlapplications.

October 1997 to April 2001 worked as ‘Instrument technician’ with Oman NationalElectric Company)in Sultanate of Oman.

  • Trouble shooting of Gas turbine frame 9,7&6,Calibration of Gas control valves,IGV,SSRV etc
