As a University it offers regular and on-line Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degrees in business, IT, health management, osteopathic medicine in the State of California (Los Angeles and San Francisco). Its registered students in 2000-01 numbered approximately 9,500 FTE. I also served as Chair of the Board of Examiners for the BA in Modern History, Economic History & Politics. I was Director of the College's Centre for Political Studies, 1992-94. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels I supervised five doctoral students to successful completion of their PhD degrees, and conducted MPhil and PhD examinations when invited by the University of London and other universities.

Research and Teaching
My research career, and my university teaching, have focussed on 19th and 20th century British history; contemporary British politics, modern Anglo-Jewish history, and quality management in higher education. I have received research-grant awards from the major British funding bodies in my fields of specialism, including the ESRC, British Academy, Leverhulme Trust, Nuffield Foundation, Marc Fitch Fund and Esmée Fairbairn Trust, as well as from the New York Foundation for the Arts and a number of private trusts. I am still research-active in all my fields of specialism. I have extensive experience of teaching at BA and MA levels, and of successful PhD supervision.
