All achievements listed in this application must be the results of a FFA swine project that is concluded between April 16 of the previous year and April 15 of the current year.

Qualifying Programs: Programs that will stimulate FFA members to employ the best management practices available for the efficient feeding and showing of swine.

* Attach weight verification to application. This can be sale weight slip. If animal is purchased by head, animal must be weighed by agriculture teacher.

NOTE: Submit record book with application. Swine records

should be complete through sale of hog.

C. AWARDS

NOTE: Can include showmanship, carcass contest and

herdsman award.

D. SKILL AND COMPETENCE

List the five most significant skills or competencies which were

developed in feeding, housing, management, health and safety

because of your supervised agricultural experience program in

your swine project. (Example: showing, proper nutrition, and

health care.)

E. MANAGEMENT AND EFFICIENCY FACTORS

Efficiency factors developed and used by the candidate

in improving the quality of the Supervised Agricultural

Experience Program during the period covered by the

application. (Average daily gain, cost of feed per lb.

of gain.)

F. SUPPORTING EVIDENCE:

Submit a 250 word typewritten story of your project with

at least six (6) but not more than ten (10) photographs,

either black and white or color. Each photograph should

have a brief caption of not more than 50 words.
