PROGRAM SPECIALIST

PURPOSE: The Program Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance to Florida’s sexual assault programs, reviewing programs’ progress towards meeting victim services goals, providing administrativesupport to Florida Council Against Sexual Violence (FCASV) staff and assisting with statewide events.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Certification and Special Projects

STATUS: Full time, Exempt

LOCATION: Tallahassee, FL

SALARY AND BENEFITS: $30,000/year plus health and dental insurance, life insurance and 401K after one year of employment.

REQUIREMENTS AT ENTRY:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years’ victim serviceor other professional experience
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  3. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to cultural diversity, ability and willingness to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and problem-solve
  5. Proficiencywith computers, preferably PCs;proficiency with Microsoft Office programs essential
  6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  7. Some experience with database management, social media, and website management
  8. Commitment to social justice
  9. Ability to travel, including occasional overnight and weekend travel is required.

DUTIES:

  • Conducts quality assurance monitoring of sexual assault program helplines
  • Collects, reviews and approves monthly and quarterly reports from subcontractors
  • Provides technical assistance to certified sexual assault programs
  • Manages and posts to FCASV’s social media accounts
  • Assists with training preparation including packing, printing, copying and shipping materials, preparing certificates of participation, sign in sheets, compiling evaluations and other documentation
  • Manages online registration for training and events, including creating registration forms, monitoring registration, preparing participant lists and communicating with participants about training locations and accommodations as needed
  • Assists in managing FCASV’s onlineAdvocacy Core Trainingproviding technical assistance to certified sexual assault program staff on navigating the web-based platform and curriculum
  • Maintainssexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) training inventory, and assists with preparing for SANE training events
  • Sets up training rooms and maintains inventory of general training materials
  • Updates web-based sexual assault program directory, updates and adds links
  • Assist with bimonthly newsletter production
  • Handles requests for brochures and brochure mail outs
  • Assists with picking up and dropping off rental cars, and delivers hard copies of reports, invoices, and other documents to funders, as necessary
  • Maintains lending library including logging in and organizing new materials;
  • Assists with answering telephone, accepting deliveries, and greeting in-person visitors
  • Assists with document destruction and filing as needed
  • Assists with activities associated with Biennial Training Summit
  • Assists with organizing shared workspace for all staff
