  • Conducted due diligence for final audit engagement of Ural mountains metallurgical company – the second largest producer and exporter of copper in Russia;
  • Established business relationship with client to understand business risks, activities and circumstances to test for the internal controls of accounting system;
  • Prepared lead sheets of sections to facilitate internal control tests and evaluate the functioning of the accounting system and reported back to team on proposed ramifications;
  • Developed and delivered internal KPMG workshops on current accounting issues in taxation and auditing;
  • Worked as part of team of ten professionals and on own initiative.

Summer 2003 / Russian Commercial Bank, Switzerland - Internship
  • Gained invaluable experience in the operations division – built Excel model to analyse the accuracy and completeness of commission and interest income receipts from clients;
  • Interpreted the receipt effectiveness using diagrams and flowcharts; liaised and enquired with senior management to estimate the income receipt for future periods;
  • Presented the results to the Board of Directors at the annual general meeting and produced a fifteen page report for the bank’s internal use;
