2012 Official Rules

Start stamping cards Friday, November 23, 2012

Downtown Christmas Cash Cards may be obtained at any participating Alexandria Downtown Merchants Association member location. Each card will contain squares of different denominations from $10 to $20 totaling $200.00. There are 5 squares that can be stamped for a Good Will donation that will be donated to the local Food Shelf. The Good Will donation can be a minimum of $1.00 cash or a single non-perishable food item. For every dollar spent at a participating member location, the equal amount will be stamped on the Downtown Christmas Cash Card. Amounts should be rounded up to the next dollar. All fully stamped cards are eligible to be entered into the “Twelve Days of Christmas” drawings and the Grand Prize drawing of $250.00 in ADMA gift certificates. All cards must be filled in completely to be eligible. Rules are subject to change.

  1. Pick up your Downtown Christmas Cash Card at any participating Alexandria Downtown Merchants Association member.
  2. Present your card to any participating business member at the time of purchase or donation. The card will be stamped for an equal dollar amount spent.
  3. There will be 5 Double Punch Days. On these days, the card will be stamped for double the amount of purchase. These days are November 23 & 24 and December 6, 7, 8.
  4. When the card has been filled in completely, turn it in to Bon Jos or Charlie’s Bazaar. All filled cards will be entered into the “Twelve Days of Christmas” and Grand Prize drawings. To be eligible for each day’s drawings, the cards will need to be dropped off at Bon Jos and Charlie’s Bazaar by 10:00 a.m.
  5. Cards may be combined to fulfill the $200.00. If you forget to take your card shopping with you, start a new card and combine it with any one that is already started. Any combination of $200.00 will be eligible.
  6. It is highly recommended that participating merchants stamp the customer’s receipt along with the card. If a customer requests their card be stamped if it was missed at a previous participating merchant’s place of business, they can provide their receipt and you can stamp both the receipt as well as their card.
  7. Employees of Alexandria Downtown Merchants Association members are eligible to play, but their cards cannot be stamped at their place of business.
  8. The “Twelve Days of Christmas” drawing will begin Monday, December 3, 2012. Two winners will be drawn per day through Tuesday, December 18, 2012. There will be a total of 24 winners. All winners will be contacted by phone, announced on the radio, and on Facebook.
  9. December 19, 2011 will be the last day to have your cards stamped. All remaining cards must be turned in by 10:00 a.m. to Bon Jos or Charlie’s Bazaar.
  10. The Grand Prize drawing will be December 19, 2012. The winner will be contacted by phone, announced on the radio, and on Facebook. All filled cards, including those drawn in earlier prize giveaways will be included in the drawing.
  11. All Food Shelf donations will be picked up by the Alexandria Downtown Merchants Association by December 21, 2012.
  12. Participating member businesses can get additional Downtown Christmas Cash Cards at Viking Office Supply. You can contact Sandy Sailor at Viking Office Supply at 762-1503. The cost is $5.00 per 100 cards. Please allow 24-48 hours for the production time. Viking Office Supply is open Monday through Friday.
  13. All winners can pick up their prize at Bon Jos.
