Customer Service Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

In a fun & exciting environment the Customer Service Associate provides high level customer service to families, school groups and the general public, to ensure a "pawsome" visitor experience at the Door County Sled Dogs’ Education/Discovery Center. Information is shared regarding the benefits of rescue of all breeds. Visitors receive concierge treatment to ensure a memorable & enjoyable experience that leads to excitement and repeat visits. Exceptional customer service skills along with a friendly, energetic and customer-oriented demeanor is required. Must enjoy building visitor itineraries, time management and providing unknown DCSD benefits to ensure a great Education Center visit. The ultimate visitor experience must have a Customer Service Associate that is knowledgeable of DCSD's exhibits and dogs, along with top notch selling, cash handling and computer ticketing skills. This limited-term opportunity will run during our 2017 Season from May through October.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides enthusiastic and exceptional customer service
  • Prepares each visitor for a positive experience by communicating safety concerns, program availability, directional information, time restrictions, and other pertinent information to their visit
  • Remains current on DCSD programs, prices, events, and policies
  • Performs data entry functions and processes payments accurately
  • Reconciles cash drawer and balances to computer generated report
  • Encourages add-on sales
  • Enters customer data in ticketing system or other database quickly, completely, and accurately

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Two years of demonstrated success in a customer service, sales, or call center environment
  • Data entry, database management, or related experience in a position that requires customer contact, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Dependable, organized, and able to adapt to changing demands and multiple work roles and demonstrate a high level of commitment to providing great customer service
  • Must be flexible and able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be available for training on Saturday May 20th and Sunday May 21st, 2017.
