Bentley / Frank Road/Bentley Road / Passageway between 163 and 165 Bentley Road. Local Inquiry held 2 June 2015 Order Confirmed – Confirmation notice to be advertised.
Doncaster / West Avenue Balby / Westerly section fenced off. Site has planning permission for 2 semi-detached houses. Order advertised, one objection received, order to be submitted to Planning Inspectorate for determination

Claims

This is a list of claims selected from the Claims Register that have been selected as being of highest priority for resolution on grounds of age, strategic requirement or possible loss. As claims are resolved others will be promoted to the list. Any schedule 14 claims will automatically be included as they must be determined within 12 months of receipt.

Sykehouse / North Lane / Schedule 14 Claim received for Bridleway status over “missing” section of North Lane and Turvill Sike Lane.User evidence does not go back for required 20 years, therefore putting on hold for time being. Claim still outstanding
Moss / Noble Thorpe Lane / Schedule 14 Claim for Restricted Byway status received.
Hatfield / Path by Ingram Arms / Schedule 14 Path now blocked. 60+ evidence forms returned with 20+ years’ use. Statements now being obtained with a view to making an order. Following discussion, Hatfield Town Council will make schedule 14 claim. Claim now received. Low priority as gate is not locked.

Cantley

/ Aldesworth Road to Cantley Park / Schedule 14 Claim submitted for path between Aldeswroth Road and Cantley Park via grounds of community centre. Following negotiations between Community Centre Committee and local residents it has been agreed that authorisation will be sought for DMBC to advertise a public footpath dedication across DMBC owned land

Nursery Lane

/ Schedule 14 claim. Part old railway line, part field edge, part old quarry. Some evidence forms received.
Old Denaby /

Ferry Boat Lane rail crossing

/ Schedule 14 claim. Network Rail have closed crossing on level, legal line goes over adjacent footbridge, claim to legally recognise path on level. Network Rail intends to build an alternative Equality Act compliant bridge adjacent to existing one and then apply to divert legal line of footpath over new bridge. They will also seek to extinguish any rights that may have been acquired on the level.

Numerous existing footpaths

/ Schedule 14 claims A number of people have put forward evidence of use of existing definitive footpaths on horseback. Potential bridleway upgrades to be considered. Statements taken. Looking at Park Lane Hatfield and Bull Moor Road/Stainforth Moor Road area Hatfield Woodhouse for first orders. BHS carrying out documentary research. Awaiting formal claims from BHS.

Marshgate

/ Continuation of Sprotbrough FP5 past prison.
Evidence received:
8 User evidence forms received plus 6 electronic evidence forms from members of a walking club who have used path once or twice per year.
2 Statements taken, one not signed
Petition to WRCC during definitive map process in 1954 signed by 22 people who used the path through to Marshgate

/ Path fenced off at Ind Estate. Evidence forms issued and some submitted. Statements to be taken from people who have submitted forms.

Don Bridge/Kingswood Site

/ Signs erected on the bridge saying No PROW, these have since been removed. Claim forms have been received. Statements to be taken.
Adwick upon Dearne / HoundHill Lane/Bolton Mill Bridge / Section of land fenced off. Evidence forms coming in. Schedule 14 application forms sent out.
Rossington / Duck ponds/Mount Pleasant / Planning application for golf course submitted. PGA Approval receivedMany evidence forms submitted for public footpaths across the land. Following meeting with interested parties it was decided to proceed with single identified claim in first instance. Contacted those who have submitted evidence forms and some statements taken. Meeting to be held with landowner 12 August 2015
Kirk Sandall / Long Sandall to St Oswalds Church / Schedule 14 Claim for bridleway between Long Sandall and
St Oswalds Church, Kirk Sandall, via tow path. Long Sandall end of claim subject to planning application for development. Some claim forms have been received.

Rossington / 15 Toad Holes Lane rail crossing / Application to divert path over railway via new road bridge. Currently subject to a temporary closure during the construction of the Finningley and Rossington Relief Road Scheme (FARRRS) due to reduced sight lines. Legal instructed to advertise order
Cantley / 8 / Currently subject to temporary closure during the construction of theFARRRS. When work is complete path will be available on diverted route passing under the road. Diversion included in Side Roads Order for FARRRS scheme.
Askern / 7 / Order made under Section 247 Town and Country Planning Actto divert footpath and extinguish desire lines across the site to enable development to take place. An informal claimed route from Avenue Road to Warren House Park will be accommodated within the development
Bawtry / 11 Stanwood Engineering / Obstructed by building. Legal advice being sought with a view to diverting onto previously walked route between Stanwood Engineering site and adjacent residential house.
