CIU 2017 - 2018 Sponsorship Program

As a vital part of our community of sponsors, CIU is once again seeking your support for our 2017 programs and events. Each year, CIU’s Executive strives to offer education and networking opportunities to our association members. As an official 2017 CIU Sponsor, for a one-time annual donation of $1,500.00,your company becomes a Sponsor of all CIU events throughout this year, and into 2018.

Currently, planned meetings and upcoming events include:

  • CIU’s Annual Winter Education Seminar, January 16 & 17, 2017 at St. Andrew’s Club & Conference Centre in Toronto
  • CIU’s Annual General Meeting, June 4, 5 & 6, 2017 at the OttawaMarriott, 100 Kent Street Location
  • CIU’s Fall Education Webinar, scheduled for October of 2017, date, speaker, program details TBC
  • CIU’s Annual Winter Education Seminar, presented in January of 2018, dates & location TBC

Your 2017 CIU Official Sponsorship at the $1,500.00 level will offer the following visibility and networking benefits:

-Complimentary (optional) exhibit space at CIU’s Annual Sponsors’ EXPO SHOWCASE to be held during CIU’s 2017 AGM at Ottawa’s Marriott Hotel. EXPO SHOWCASEandother AGM events are currently in development, however the dates of the 2017 AGM are:Welcome Reception & Registration on Sunday, June 4th and our AGM meetings and events presented Monday, June 5th and Tuesday, June 6th,2017. Expo space assignments during the program will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be limited to meet the capacity of the Ballroom`s adjacent exhibit area

-Your company LOGO displayed at all CIU events from June 2017 through to January, 2018, via presentation slides from the main stage, program acknowledgement & signage

-Your company LOGO and introduction featured on the CIU website, with a link to your corporate site

-Acknowledgement of support for CIU’s 2017 Fall Education Webinar Event

-One complimentaryReception ticketas our guest during CIU’s Annual Winter Education Seminar, January, 2018

This year, CIU continues with offering our “FRIENDS OF THE CIU” sponsorship level. For any donation up to a level of $500.00,your benefit to being a Friend of the CIU includes:

- Your company’s name listed in the CIU 2017AGM program as a “Friend of the CIU”

In order that we may begin to prepare materials for our 2017AGM, as soon as possible after your receipt of this letter, please confirm your intention to Sponsor CIU via e-mail. With your commitment, we request your corporate LOGO’s most recent version is sent to us as a high-resolution jpeg file, a transparency, and also in a print ready format, e.g. eps.Pantone colour information is also helpful. Given recent changes and upgrades to corporate LOGOs, for maximum visibility, we would like to ensure that CIU is using your preferredLOGO.

To confirm your communication of support, please issue a cheque payment to Canadian Institute of Underwriters (REF: “CIU SPONSORSHIP 2017”) and forward it to our administration office.If an Invoice and/or Receipt is required, orto make alternate payment arrangements,via EFT or Credit Card (MasterCard, VISA or AMEX, at a 5% services charge), please contact U’s administrator for assistance.

If the sponsorship fee is paid in USD, payment is requested at par. For our sponsors with USA affiliations, please advise us of any special compliance documents you may require forpayment of your sponsorship commitment.

Should you wish to provide optional promotional items or door prizes from your company for any appropriate individual CIU events, they are most welcome and appreciated. A liaison from our CIU Executive Committee will be available to co-ordinate this with you.

Our Sponsors’ feedback from 2016indicated interest inexploring other avenues of support of the CIU’s individual activities at the AGM in June 2017. As a year of celebrating of 150 years of Canada, and 31 years of the CIU AGM, you may wish to provide sponsorship support of a program event – if so please contact me directly to explore this option @.

Please note, CIU Sponsorship support does not cover our annual association membership fees, nor does it extend to the registration fees for specific meetings or events – these are levied separately.
