Proper notice of the meeting was given.
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:38pm by President Shelly Russell. A quorum was present. Board members in attendance: Shelly Russell, Latisha Giulini, Lisa Vold, Stacy Morford, Dawn Peschek, Riesa Ragan, Susan Reeder and Jennifer Wildermuth.
Approval of Minutes
Board meeting minutes from May 5th, 2017 were unavailable at this time. They will be approved at the next board meeting on September19th, 2017.
Treasurer’s Report/Financial Review Report
Treasurer’s report will be filed as presented. Donations from Employee matching and E-scripts have been received. Membership fees have been paid. Class of 2020 has received $361 from Chipotle for their dinner out fundraiser from previous school year.
Financial Review was performed on August 7th, 2017 by Jennifer Kirchhoffer and Kim Sieler. Approved as submitted.
President’s Report
Open positions: Staff Appreciation, ISF, Ways and Means and Membership.
VP Report
All committee and program volunteer positions have been filled, (except for the Board positions listed above.)
Committee Reports
ISF – Shelly Russell – Calling for kids is coming up.
Membership – Shelly Russell – Open. Current Membership count is 663.
OutReach – Shelly Russell – working on a date for Shop and Swap. Planning for Sustainable Breakfasts.
Parent Ed –Riesa Ragan – District wide program. Events will be posted when they become available.
VIS –Dawn Peschek – Running a Levy February 2018.
Senior Reports – Lisa Vold– Auction scheduled for October 21st, 2017 at the Maple Wood Golf course. All are welcome to attend, Early Bird tickets are $60. “Senior Sunrise”, starting a new tradition this year. Banners have been purchased and can be passed down. All chair positions and volunteer positions have been filled.
Advocacy – Stacy Morford – Legislative Assembly October 20th-21st, 2017 in Tacoma.
Communications – Susan Reeder – E-news will only be sent out to PTA members who have signed up to receive E-news. Information will also be sent out through the Liberty PTSA Facebook page.
Review and discussion of documents to present at Membership meeting to be voted on and approved at the Membership meeting on October 3rd, 2017.

Current year of events calendar is posted. Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest forms are available online.
Discussion of PTA business logistics and new programs and events.
Community Service Cords, Volunteer hours form is available on PTA website and has been e-mailed to PTA members signed up for E-news.
End of Year 2016-2017 survey results discussion. Information will be sent out soon.

Grant Request(s)
-“Happy 40th Birthday Liberty High School” Request is made for $1,000 to provide an ice cream treat (or popsicle) for whole student body by Michelle Munson. Motion to approve grant as presented made by Susan Reeder. Approved.
