Position:The University of Illinois Department of Speech and Hearing Science (SHS) ( is seeking to recruittwo outstanding speech-language pathologistsforInstructor positions during the 2017-18 academic year. The department is dedicated to research, education, and outreach activities that promote health, wellness, and quality of life by improving all aspects of interpersonal communication.Widely recognized as among the top departments in the nation, we offer an undergraduate degree and three graduate degrees (M.A., Au.D., Ph.D.). The department has a Speech-Language Pathology Clinic located in nearby Research Park and an Audiology Clinic located within the SHS building.

Responsibilities: Provide clinical education to students in the M.A. Speech-Language Pathology program through direct clinical teaching/modeling and supervision and develop a clinical caseload to provide direct service. Clinical facultyalso provide service through committee membership or other activities that support programs in the Department, College, University or community.The successful candidate may also contribute to didactic instruction and/or collaborative, translational research in the department or on campus.

Qualifications:Applicants must hold a terminal degree for clinical practice in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA certification, and an Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license. A minimum of 3 years full-time (or equivalent) of clinical experience is required. Preferred qualifications include previous experience with clinical supervision/instruction of graduate studentsand a current IllinoisProfessional Educator License.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
