7th Grade Islands of Adventure Trip

Dear Parents:
Your 7th grade student is invited to attend the 7th Grade Islands of Adventure field trip on Friday, March 10, 2017.The total cost of the trip is $135.00.(Great news- this is the least expensive this trip has been in YEARS!) The fee includes the cost of the charter bus ($47.00), Islands of Adventure admission ($63.00), Universal dining card ($20.00), and a Cobb field trip t-shirt ($5.00). In the event that there are any remaining funds after all field trip expenses are paid, the excess will be spent on items to be used on the trip, such as snacks for the students.Please be mindful that after the first 100 students, all other students will be put on a waiting list. All seats are on a first-come, first-served basis!
*A $55.00 non-refundable deposit and the signed permission slip below must be turned in by Friday November 4, 2016to Mrs. Davis in room 27 in order to reserve your seat. The balance ($80.00)must be paid by February 3, 2017.You may pay the entire fee at any time (provided there are seats remaining). If you would prefer to make payments, you may send the $55.00 non-refundable deposit by November 4th, $40 by December 2nd, and the final $40 by January 6th. The buses will leave the Cobb Middle School bus ramp at 5:15am, on Friday, March 10, 2017 and return at 11:30pm. The 7th grade students will stay in peer groups (of their choosing) while in the park. Each group will need at least one group member with a working cell phone. Students will be required to check-in (face-to-face) at set times throughout the trip. Students are not permitted to leave the park for any reason, and they are never to be alone. Students will have emergency contact info for the chaperones, and the park staff will have Mrs. Davis’s contact info as well. Please pick your child up at 11:30pm. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office will be called to pick up students who have not been picked up 30 minutes after we return.

Poor citizenship may disqualify students from attending the trip. Students must maintain 3’s & 4’s in citizenship and must not have any Out of School Suspensions (OSS) for the entire school year. If a student receives OSS for any reason they will be DISQUALIFIED from attending this trip. This is a condition set by the 7th grade teachers and administration. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy and refunds will not be issued due to behavior disqualification.Due to limited space, this trip is reserved for Cobb students and faculty and staff chaperones only.If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Davis, 7th grade chair, between 8:30am and 9:15am or email at .

Checks must include your name, address, and current phone number. Please also include your child’s name in the memo field of the check.
