Job Description
Overview:
Acosta Sales and Marketing represents many of the leading manufacturers in the world today. Companies such as Kraft, Proctor and Gamble, Campbells, Hersheys, and Nestle rely on us every day to service their lines of products ranging from cereal to household cleaners to charcoal. The Sets and Projects branch of Acosta is far and away the fastest growing part of Acosta. Over the past year, our workload has nearly doubled and continues to grow in scope every day. The companies listed above will come to us for projects ranging from simple audits of displays or shelf distribution, to building and stocking Kraft Kool Aide racks, and all the way up to complete resets of grocery categories such as the candy aisle or the soup section in your local grocery store (Dillons, HyVee, Homeland, etc), mass stores (Wal Mart, Costco, Sams Club), Drug Stores (Walgreens, CVS) and even the corner Convenience Store (7-ll, Quick Trip).
This workload requires us to employ knowledgeable, organized, flexible, and motivated associates who will be working in many different environments for varying shifts.
Qualifications:
· Applicant must have strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
· High School Diploma / GED required
· Must have a somewhat flexible schedule (typical shifts are Monday through Friday, as well as occasional night and weekend work; occasional travel)
· Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Associate needs to be flexible in availability (occasional night/weekend work); most shifts will be Monday through Thursday.
· Must be able to work independently or with a team
· Previous reset/customer service/retail experience preferred
· Must be able to lift and carry boxes of display materials and/or product; Must be able to carry/adjust shelving where needed
· Must be willing to work in cold environments (i.e. refrigerated dairy sections or freezer sections such as frozen pizza or ice cream)
· Must have access to and be able to operate a computer/internet for scheduling and reporting purposes.
· Must be able to operate equipment such as a fax machine, telephone, calculator, copier, etc.
· Should be able to effectively use various tools such as a hammer/mallet, screwdriver, hand truck, step stool, box knife, etc
· Must have the ability to kneel and stand for various lengths of time (such as while resetting a section of product on the bottom shelf)
· Employment with Acosta will be contingent on passing pre-hire drug screen and background check
Responsibilities:
· Must present yourself professionally and communicate effectively in any setting when representing Acosta (stores, offices, etc.)
· Read and implement a plan-o-gram/schematic/shelf map to effectively complete reset/project work
· Develop a working knowledge of merchandising and retail terminology
· Execute reset duties such as cleaning/movement of shelving, building and installation of display racks, as well as the placing of shelf strips and tags with attention to detail
· Develop strong, positive working relationships with store personnel as well as other merchandising representatives, whether it be with fellow Acosta associates or the associates of other companies
· Timely and accurate preparation, scheduling, reporting, and overall management of information related to set/project work through various Acosta online operating systems such as:
1. NaturalInsight.com - Scheduling/Reporting of work
2. Corporate Reimbursement Services (CRS) - Mileage Reimbursement
3. Acosta Time, Leave, and Absence System (ATLAS) – Vacation Time/Time Off Management
· Abide by all Acosta policies as well as store policies as pertaining to operating procedures and safety, such as dress code, merchandising guidelines, injury prevention/reporting, etc.
