Growing Your Own

Saturday and Sunday, 7th and 8th September 2013

Home Grown Vegetables

  • 3 beetroot
  • 3 onions
  • 3 carrots

As pulled, tops on, cleaned

  • 3 potatoes, cleaned
  • 3 tomatoes, with stalks
  • Longest bean
  • Any misshapen vegetable

Floral Arrangement

  • Arrangement of mixed garden flowers in vase of own choice
  • Arrangement entitled ‘Jane Austen’
  • Miniature garden, no bigger than 12 inches by 12 inches, in container of own choice

Judging to be done on Saturday 7th September and with owner’s permission, vegetables and flowers will be auctioned on Sunday, 8th September

White plates will be supplied for display.

Jams

All entries for Jam classes in clear glass jars with lids with no personalised labels

Rules and Regulations

  • All entry forms to be accompanied by entry fee of £1 per item.
  • All staff entries to be displayed in the marquee on the field by 9.30am.
  • Visitor entries to be in the marque by 11 am.
  • All entry forms to be accompanied by name and telephone number.

1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class to be displayed in the marquee throughout the weekend.

With the owner’s permission, the Baking, Jam, and Beverages will be auctioned in aid of charity on the Events Show Field on Sunday, 15thSeptember at 5.15pm.
