1) Approval of Sept. 17, 2013,meeting minutes
2) DHC status update for new members/recommendations/resignations/pending approvals
Pending approval from Governor (approved by DHC to recommend to Gov.)
Terry Richards– Submit application
Dr. Rosa Colon Kolacko – Approved by the Governor
Ronaldo Tello – waiting for U.S. citizenship
Secretary - DHC needs to find a secretary
3). Treasurers report(Maria Matos). Set guidelines for funding requests
a. Status of Business Cards
b. Budget for FY12, 13, & 14 needs to be developed and submitted.
c. Budget Report
d. Banner reimbursement
e. Presentation of $500 check from SBA toward the Economic Development subcommittee.
f. LEP letter – Delaware Alliance for non-profit and Andrew Dinsmore may be able to provide support for the expense to mail the letters.
g. LACC Gala - $2,000.00 approved by DHC and submitted to State for processing.
h. Latino Business Resource Center – Sonia will provide budget for Center.
4). Update on Latino Summit to be hosted by DHC – target date April 2014
Mission will be mimicking the Hispanic National Agenda. Need to develop the specific areas of concern in Delaware.
5) Summary of Subcommittees objectives, action items, budget proposals, and implementation of initiatives for 2013. Review Commission member’s participation on subcommittees.
A) Community Subcommittee Report – Website Update – Sonia will present the website.
Need a State employee as a volunteer for the website updates – Susan Maldonado
Subcommittees need to provide updates to website.
LACC website – Rebecca Fahey available to translate the documents?
Academia website – showcase that on website
B) Economic Development Subcommittee Report – Latino Business Resource Update and funding request. Sonia will make a Power Point presentation.
C) Education Subcommittee Report – ELL Letter to Governor sent.
D) Health & Social Services Subcommittee Report
Submit Rosa Colon-Kolacko to chair this subcommittee.
E) Housing Subcommittee Report - DRAFT LEP Letter sent to all commission members on 9/17/13. Add to agenda. Ask for comments and approval to send.
F) Legal Subcommittee and Social Justice Subcommittee Report
Provide update on WMGM Radio Station’s Bill Colley comments.
G) Transportation Subcommittee
Driving Privilege Card Update
What is the status of Governor’s committee to review the driving privilege card?
The following legislators were invited to the meeting. Need legislative support. Discuss best strategy.

6). FOIA requirements and changes to By-laws to Article VI Executive Committee to include Chairs of subcommittees. Also add media policy by-law amendment for a vote
7). DelDOT Job Postings – How do we get this communicated to the Hispanic Community?
