Follow instructions given for the game.

6.  You need to fill in the definitions for each word below.

7.  The definitions are given in the game but are said quickly and there is no ‘pause’ button, so you will need to hit “back” or “forward” and then “back” a lot to rewind the answers.

8.  Also, you can click on the “?” button in the bottom left corner to sometimes hear the definitions again.

9.  Good luck, and have fun.

10.  Once you get all the definitions you can save this sheet into your CCA folder or print it off if your teachers says to. You might also then have time to play the game again.

CCA Information Technology: Networking

·  A network is effective because computers can transfer information (files broken down into small packets), but also can have congestion and deadlock or collisions with packets traveling through the connections.

In going along with the IT Lesson #13: Orange Game I've used some of my flex days to do the following activities to enhance and extendthis lesson:

Layton, UT's new ThrU-turn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VcNBkSaKO8

*I showed this in conjunction with discussing problem solving in relation to traffic. We discussed the parallels between traffic on the streets and traffic on networks and the need for innovative problem solving.

CISCO's Peter Packet video game:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/779/edu/peterpacket2/deliverables/techworld_how.htm

*I've always used this fun game, along with the internet/networking vocabulary worksheet I put together, when trying to explain networks and their congestion (MS Doc attached)

Enjoy, or not
