·  Mattie Carter – Chair

o  Report from Anna Buhlinger- I am a contact to the city of Lawrence and the students here at KU. We have various opportunities coming up like a Bike Share system. Check the Lawrence social media accounts to stay updated.

·  Adam Steinhilber– Vice Chair

o  If you’re new and need advice I got what you need! There are open senate seats that you can apply too on the student senate website.

·  Nick Rose – Secretary

o  New members, please inform me of your emails in order to be put on the email list.

·  Martin Doherty – Student Rights Committee Associate Senator

o  We elected a new commissioner chair. Positions are open in the student senate website. Elected three members to universities senate.

1.  Jordan, representative of Aerial Arts Workout- This is funding bill to afford the materials needed to preform properly.

b.  BILL-2017-103: A BILL TO FUND ISJ

i.  Presented by Dany-

1.  Chair and treasurer of ISJ- We are requesting funding to pay an honorarium for a speaker. Attendance is for everyone and will be at the union. The purpose is to let grad students present research on social justice.

c.  BILL-2017-094: A BILL TO FUND NET IMPACT

i.  Presented by Rex Templin

1.  This is a general funding bill

a.  President of Net Impact- We are asking for funding to create events during this upcoming semester as well as advertising.

d.  BILL-2017-101: A BILL TO AMEND STUDENT SENATE RULES AND REGULATIONS 2.1.2 AND 3.5.3

i.  Presented by Gabby- This allows one of the holdover seats to sit in the university senate. The incoming student senate will choose the other two seats.

ii.  Negative Speech from Adam- I propose an amendment so only one appointed senator would be elected rather than two as this will allow for more flexibility for holdover senators.
