Day 1: Tuesday, November 7, 2017
Arrival by 4:00 pm
Evening: introduction and review of scheduleSpend night downtown Antananarivo
Day 2: Wednesday, November 8, 2017
Morning: Visit with FJKM President and officers at FJKM offices; introduction to the FJKM church; introduction to the FJKM’s view of peace and reconciliation (includes environment).
Meet with FJKM leaders and representatives of FJKM Life of Nation Committee; discussion of history of FJKM involvement with peace and reconciliation.
Afternoon: Visit to Behoririka Girls’ Training Center – Learn about FJKM work with marginalized groups including human trafficking efforts (under Chaplaincy Program)
Evening:Group ReflectionSpend night downtown Antananarivo
Day 3: Thursday, November 9
Morning: Presentations and discussion about the environment challenges in Madagascar and actions being taken by the FJKM Development Department and Civil Society Organizations
Afternoon: Visit to Ivato Seminary –learn about how reconciliation and environmental education fit into pastoral training; see green campus with one of Madagascar’s largest collection fruit trees and native palms; learn about new university plans

Day 4: Friday, November 10
Morning: Drive to Moramanga (3 hr drive); Lunch with FJKM Synod leaders at AkanyGazela Girls’ Home (FJKM’s Women of the Church (Dorkasy) received funds from PC(USA) Presbyterian Women to help build AkanyGazela)
Afternoon: Visit Ambatovy nickel/cobalt mine – discussions about community & environmental impact
Evening:Group ReflectionSpend night inAndasibe
Day 5: Saturday, November 11
Morning: Rainforest hike at Andasibe (see lemurs and other endemic wildlife)
Afternoon: Visit community environmental activities

Day 6: Sunday, November 12
Morning: Worship in Andasibe/Moramanga area churches
Afternoon: Drive to Antananarivo (3 hr drive)
Evening:Group ReflectionSpend night downtown Antananarivo
Day 7: Monday, November 13(NB – on original schedule, this was May 1, a holiday in Madagascar)
Morning: Historical Tour of downtown Antananarivo – Martyr Churches, Archives, sites of recent crisis
Shopping
Afternoon: Presentations at local church about FJKM reconciliation efforts in southern Madagascar
Evening:Group ReflectionSpend night downtown Antananarivo
Day 8: Tuesday, November 14
Morning: Visit FFKM and other societal groups involved with justice and reconciliation;
Afternoon: Meet with FJKM church leaders /discuss church’s role going forward
Evening:Group ReflectionSpend night downtown Antananarivo
Day 9: Wednesday, November 15
Morning: Drive to Antsirabe (4hr drive)
Afternoon: Visit local congregations working on reconciliation efforts; Seegreen FJKM church
Evening:Group ReflectionSpend night in Antsirabe
Day 10: Thursday, November 16
Morning: Visit Mahatsinjo rural community where FJKM & PC(USA) have done development and water work with village associations producing silk products

Afternoon: Drive to Antananarivo (4 hr drive)

Day 11: Friday, November 17: Last day
Meet with FJKM church leaders;
