Donate Life Rose Parade® Float
2013 Float Rider Participation Guidelines
The 2013 Donate Life Rose Parade Float will carry 28 Float Riders. In order to
appropriately represent our community to the Rose Parade’s one million spectators,
up to 40 million U.S. television viewers, and tens of millions more worldwide, we aim to feature a Rider contingent that is balanced in terms of ethnicity, age and variety of stories.
Please note that the 2013 Rose Parade will be held on Tuesday, January 1.
Personal Connection to Donation and Transplantation

Parade Day Guidelines
· Unless the Rider’s sponsor or the Donate Life Float Committee requests specific attire, Riders may dress as they wish.
· If the Rider so wishes, he or she may carry an 8x10 framed photo (provided by the Float Committee) of their organ donor (in the case of recipients) or their loved one (in the case of donor family members).
· Float riders will be transported from the hotel to the parade formation area, then picked up after the parade and reunited with family and friends at the Post-Parade Reception.
