Students take six classes each semester. At this time, you are making course requests. Next year’s school staff along with the hour(s) courses are offered is determined by your requests; every effort is made to grant your requests.

Enrichment/Advanced Courses – All students may elect to enroll in advanced courses in subject areas where these courses exist. These advanced courses frequently carry a College Core weight, which is earned only after completing the full year of the course. We encourage students to take these courses if they believe they have the preparation, skill, and determination to be successful. Success in these classes is achieving a C or better. Progression through the advanced track will prepare students to take college level work while in high school. Once enrolled in the honors courses, it will likely not be possible to move to the traditional level during the school year. See the schedule change policy below.

Registration Process and Dates:

1.  Registration requests are entered into a computer by students. February

2.  Students are placed in course sections based on their requests. March

3.  Last minute changes are submitted to for consideration. Deadline: February 24, 2017

4.  Based on course sections needed, school staff is hired and selected. March

5.  Students and families receive summer mailing with courses. July

6.  Students and families review summer mailing and return to the school. Any errors (which should be none) are noted on the form as it is returned to the school. July

7.  For any errors or comments noted, school staff contacts families to address any corrections. July

8.  Students pick up schedules with specific class hours and teacher assignments. August

9.  Last minute course vacancies are posted. Individuals may decide to select one of these few vacancies in place of one of their registered selections. August
