Book Interview Due Date: November 25/2011

This year in Language Arts you will complete three book-talk presentations. The first one will be set up as a book interview between the student and teacher. You will read a class-appropriate novel independently. You will need to keep track of details from the novel and be able to respond to questioning by the teacher about the novel’s setting, point of view, character, plot, conflict, theme, and literary devices. You must pass in your notes sheet prior to the interview. You will also select a passage from the novel and read it aloud to the teacher, as well as explain its importance to the whole novel.

Directions:

1.  Choose a Book.

2.  Takes notes as you read.

3.  Decide on a passage that you would like to read (1/2 a page to 1 page)
