KIMEP and Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul agreed to enter into an academic, educational, and cultural exchange agreement. The agreement was signed on April 8, 2005 and will remain valid for 5 years.

Up to 4 places are available for KIMEP students for one academic semester!

KIMEP Exchange Students should pay tuition fee min for 4 courses to KIMEP, but all other expenses are the responsibility of applicants:

Accommodation Fee and Estimated Living Costs per month

·  Dormitory is free

·  Meals: US 300 dollars

·  Transportation, books, miscellaneous: about US 350 dollars

Other Expenses

·  Round ticket: about US 700 dollars

·  Visa and insurance: about US 100 dollars

Total: about US 3,500 dollars per semester.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

I.  KIMEP Application Procedure:

In order to apply for this exchange program, please ensure that you satisfy the requirements of the program and submit necessary completed documents to the International Relations Office in KIMEP:

·  Good English skills

·  At least one full year of undergraduate or one full semester of graduate study at KIMEP in either economics or Business

·  Completed Application Form for Pre-Approval of Transfer/Substitute Courses for KIMEP Exchange Students (download it from our website at www.kimep.kz/international - KIMEP Students - How to Apply)

·  Completed KIMEP Application Form (download it from our website at www.kimep.kz/international - KIMEP Students - How to Apply)

·  A recommendation letter from a KIMEP faculty member

·  An unofficial transcript

Having been nominated as an exchange student to SKKU, your next step would be to complete the documents listed below (available in the International Relations Office at KIMEP) and email or fax them to the university in South Korea:

·  Completed Application for Exchange Student

·  Korean Course Application

·  Dormitory Application

·  Recommendation Letter (from a faculty member)

·  Brief Essay (description of the plan of study)

·  Certificate of Current Enrollment at KIMEP

·  Official Transcript

·  Three 3.5X4.5cm color photographs in addition to a photo on the application from
