INFORMATION AS PER SECTION 4 OF RTI ACT, 2005 PERTAINING TO
TAMIL NADU, PUDUCHERRY & ANDAMAN NICOBAR ISLANDS GEO SPATIAL DATA CENTRE, SURVEY OF INDIA, CHENNAI.
Point No. Particulars
(i) - This is a subordinate office under Surveyor General’s
Office, Survey of India, Dehra Dun, to be furnished by SGO
being common to all GDCs.
(ii) - To be furnished by SGO being common to all GDCs.
(iii) - All the major policy decisions, technical or administrative are
made by the Head of the Deptt. i.e.the S.G. At Zone level, the decision making authority is the Addl. SG., and at GDC level, the Director. Some powers are delegated to the subordinate officers, i.e. DD/SUPERINTENDING SURVEYOR/CPIO, E&AO, TO, ASO etc. Decisions are taken by the subordinate officers with proper consultation with Addl. SG / Director.
(iv) & (v) - To be furnished by SGO being common to all GDCs
(vi) - Please Refer to Annexure ‘A’.
(vii) - No such arrangement exists at GDC level.
(viii) - Boards are constituted on as and when basis. Boards are
constituted for holding DPCs for certain categories of employees, recruitments, Procurement of stores by calling for tenders from enterpreneurs, conducting trade tests, weeding out of stores & records etc. Some of the board proceedings like DPC, Rectt. & Trade tests etc. are treated as Confidential and rest are open.
