APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF AUGUST 19, 2014 AND SPECIAL MEETING OF AUGUST 28, 2014: Motion was made by Susie Bagby, seconded by Neita Brandon, to approve the Minutes as read. The motion carrying with the following vote:
Ayes: All members present voted aye.

APPROVE THE PAYMENT OF BILLS RECEIVED AUGUST 8, 2014 THRU SEPTEMBER 8, 2014: Motion was made by Susie Bagby, seconded by Ricky Deel to pay the bills as presented. The motion carrying with the following vote:
Ayes: All members present voted aye.

CONSIDER/APPROVE RENEWAL OF ASSESSMENT CONTRACT FOR 2015 TAX YEAR WITH HARDEMAN COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT: Motion was made by Nell Looper, seconded by Michael Woods, to approve renewal of the Assessment Contract with the Hardeman County Appraisal District. The motion carrying with the following vote:

CONSIDER/DISCUSS NEED FOR “JAKE BRAKE” ORDINANCE FOR INSIDE CTIY LIMITS: After discussion for effectiveness and enforceability of an ordinance, action was postponed for future meeting.

ACTION ON CLOSED EXCUTIVE SESSION IF NECESSARY: Motion was made by Nell Looper, seconded by Ricky Deel to pursue purchase of the Airport hangars and other property from Len Miller. The motion carrying with the following vote:

CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT:
1. Paula commented the 9/11 ceremony for first responders was very good.
2. The cemetery is looking much better; the City employees have spent a lot of time mowing and weed eating.
3. The fire department’s response to the Medicine Mound Depot Restaurant fire was commended.
