Unit Learning Goals / Students will: Integrate multiple sources of information presented in diverse formats or media (e.g., visually, quantitatively, and orally) in order to make informed decisions and solve problems, evaluating the credibility and accuracy of each source and noting any discrepancies among the data. Determine the meaning of unknown and multiple-meaning words… choosing flexibly from a range of strategies. To empower students by giving them the tools for learning content and knowledge about the learning process itself. Setting goals. Students will complete a multifaceted project, providing the opportunity to exhibit skills, knowledge, creativity, and talents which have been developed throughout their K-12 education.

All About Me – I’m Someone Who…
Teacher will complete the “I’m Someone Who…” worksheet and open discussion with students as it is being completed.
Students will be given the same worksheet to complete independently. Teacher will float to monitor and help students.
Review the activity and tell students they can take home to complete, but need to return tomorrow in order to earn their classwork grade.
Review Senior Research paper that was started last semester. Remind them they will need to know what career they are going to research.

Students will be asked what they plan on researching for their research papers.
Hand out and go over Senior Research Paper paperwork (will also be available on teacher website).
We will open their Noodletools and Symbaloo sites.
Review what they started last semester. Practice/make changes/continue research on their career choice. / Do Now
Students will be working on their Senior Research Papers. Computers will be available.
Teacher will float to assist.
Last 10- 15 minutes of class will be students sharing information they found that may help others. A chance to ask questions in a group discussion (helping each other).
Reminder that signed Research Paper paperwork is due no later than Tuesday, 1/9/2018, for class grade.
