Killossery Lodge Stud Bucas Inter Schools Show Jumping League Competition Rules.
- Open to riders in second level education who are under 19 years of age on first of September 2016 and are receiving full time education at the same school.
- Amalgamation of teams is permitted 2 schools may amalgamate to form a team for this competition A team may consist of 3 or 4 riders. Best three scores in each round to count The competition shall be held under sjai rules article 269n{excluding 4.1 &4.2}.
- There may be no more than one grade A horse /pony per team.
- Any rider who falls during the competition may not remount and must leave the arena on foot A rider and horse/pony may jump exclusively for oneschool only and may not be entered for more than one team
- A chef d’Equipe appointed by the school must be present with the team on arrival and during competition. The chef d’equipe is responsible for the conduct of his or her teams at all times and in this regard is responsible for insuring the correct information eg ponies correct name has been supplied to organiser. Riders their parent or guardian must insure that the pony and riders name announced on the day are as per entry .It is the responsibility of the rider to insure that information on the day is correct changes cannot be made to league points after that day .
Riders must be correctly attired and protective headgear must be worn at all times while mounted. Back protectors are recommended.
- The height of fences for team competition will be 80/ 85cms . The heights for individual competition will be 80 cms .The course will be built by Mr Frank Glynn Cand. Int.
- In the event of an equality of faults the Chef d’Equipe will appoint two team members to jump against the clock. The names of the schools involved will then be placed in a hat and an open draw will decide order of jumping. Rider no 1 will jump first followed by rider number 2 from the same team .
- Prize winners will be mounted for presentation of prizes. The six highest placed teams will parade.
- Any team that arrive late will have to wait until end of competition to jump.
- No refund of entry fees will be made in the case of entries which are not sent forward for competition or which are disqualified from the competition for failure to comply with regulations
- All details must be completed in block capitals on the enclosed entry form.. Each entry must include the date of birth of each competitor, the school stamp and signature of principal.
