About us

Carella Beauty Training was established in 2016 by Deborah Ryan. Whilst Carella Beauty Training is a new concept Deborah is not new to the Beauty Industry or Training. Having qualified in 2004 with 2 Diplomas in Beauty Specialist she has since gone on to achieve a further 7 Diplomas. Anatomy and Physiology, Holistic Massage, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Facial Electricals, Electrical Epilation and Nail Technology. Once qualified she worked in various salons to gain experience but opened her own home salon in 2005 and worked part time moving into training in 2006. She has worked as a therapist and trainer ever since. She has also been a course manager in 2 Beauty Colleges and has finely tuned her experience culminating in opening her own college in her home town of Dunboyne.

Carella Beauty Training is ITEC accredited to deliver Diplomas in Beauty Specialist, Anatomy and Physiology, Holistic Massage, Spa Therapy, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Facial Electricals, Electrical Epilation and Nail Technology. We are also approved for Certificates in Makeup, Manicure and Pedicure, Waxing and many more.

The Beauty Specialist

The ITEC Diploma for Beauty Specialists provides a thorough understanding and skills in Facial treatments, manicure/pedicure, makeup and waxing for a Beauty Specialist requiring a high level qualification in beauty.
Ideal for those seeking employment in Salons, Health farms, Spas and Cruise Liners.
Contents: Skin and Eye treatments, Make Up, Waxing, Manicure and Pedicure, Professional conduct & Business Studies.
In house Spray Tan, Advanced Waxing, Dermalogica training and Fuschia Training.
E-Portal: Each student will be assigned a student number which will enable them to access all ITEC course notes online as an extra learning tool.

Duration: Approx 300 hours total Qualification/Certification: ITEC Diploma

Examinations/Assessments: In-House assessments, external (ITEC) examiner.

Course Fee: €2,395 - Payment plan available

Course starts:

Makeup Certificate

This Course is your introduction to the creative world of Make-Up! It is suitable for beginners where basic foundation skills are learned which will enable you to progress further into the Make-Up Industry. The Course covers topics such as cleansing & toning, skin analysis, skin types & conditions. These are extremely important as you need to prepare the skin properly to get the best results with your Make-Up application.
Contents: Day Makeup, Evening, Special Occasion, Bridal, High Fashion.
E-Portal: Each student will be assigned a student number which will enable them to access all ITEC course notes online as an extra learning tool.

Duration: Approx 50 hours total Qualification/Certification: ITEC Certificate

Examinations/Assessments: In-House assessments, external (ITEC) examiner.

Course Fee: €795 - Payment plan available

Course starts:

Holistic Massage

The foundation course for complementary therapy. The course provides students with a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology of the body so that they have a complete knowledge of the structure and functions of each area on which they are working. The course includes holistic massage incorporating the classical movements treating the whole body.
Contents: Holistic Massage Practical 25 hours, 25 hours theory, Anatomy and Physiology 50 hours, Business Studies 50 hours. 5 Case Studies. In house Hot Stone Course.

Duration: Approx 150 hours total Qualification/Certification: ITEC Diploma

Examinations/Assessments: In-House assessments, external (ITEC) examiner.

Course Fee: €1500 - Payment plan available

Please inform us if you already hold a qualification in Anatomy and Physiology as you will not have to complete this part of the course. There will also be a reduced fee cost.

Course starts:

Gel Nail Course

Have a brand new career and a qualification with this Part-Time course. This will allow you to work and learn at the same time!
You will be qualified in as little as 3 weeks and you can finally begin an exciting and rewarding career in the Beauty Industry. This qualification will allow you to work in a Beauty Salon, as a mobile therapist or from home,
Contents: Hygiene, Health and Safety, Anatomy of the natural nail, nail diseases and disorders, cuticle work, Gel Nail enhancements, UV light, tip application and product application.

Duration: Approx 18 hours total

Qualification/Certification: In House Certificate

Examinations/Assessments: In-House assessments.

Course Fee: €359 and includes a Gel Nail kit and 36Watt UV Lamp

Course starts:

Spray Tan Course

This short course is an excellent addition to qualified beauty therapists, Nail techs or a great as an introduction to the beauty world. Spray Tan is the most popular method of applying a fake tan today. Not only is this a fast and easy way to apply a fake tan but it is a great treatment to do both as a mobile therapist and as a salon treatment. It provides clients with excellent value for money and provides therapists and salons with a steady income and a regular client base.
This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to carry out this treatment with any tanning product of your choice.

Duration: Approx ½ Day

Qualification/Certification: In House Certificate

Examinations/Assessments: In-House assessments.
