President's Comments:
This will be a very brief president's column. I have some sort of sickness and staying upright does not work for any extended period of time. The policy change at Equity Hall needs to be addressed by our club. At our next general membership meeting we will need deal with this. Since we have no volunteers for the setup and takedown, Equity Hall has offered to do the setup and takedown for us. The fees would be $25 for setup and $35 for take down. This fee will be for most events, and would raise the cost to dance at Equity Hall by 50%. At the request of the Board of Directors, I am looking into other halls. At this time no dues increase is necessary, but unless there is a drastic change, this will be the last year we can say that. Your thoughts and comments will be more important than ever at our Jan. 12th General Membership Meeting. Please plan to attend!

I am looking forward to the beginning of winter lessons. There will be a variety of new and old dances, some that have been requested by you and others that are favorites of the instructors. You may like to help out the club by becoming an instructor, even if it's not this session. Our first instructor meeting is at Lena High School, Jan 3, 2018 at 6 pm. Lessons begin Wednesday evenings, Jan 31st through April 18th at Equity Hall at 7 pm with open dancing at 6:30 pm. Take out your sheets and review the lessons we taught last fall! I look forward to dancing with you at our Winter/Spring Lessons!

We have performed 10 Christmas Demos & have 2 more scheduled to do after Christmas. The Demo Team annual dinner will be Jan. 21 at the Wood's Supper Club in Crivitz.

Thank you to everyone that brought snacks for the Christmas Dance. We had a lot of fun! Thank you to Wayne Richards and Diane Barrett for the door prizes and toLeslyn, Pat, and Julie for helping me decorate. I really appreciate your help! Our Winter Dance is Jan. 27th and the Valentine's Day Dance is Feb. 24th.
Both dances start at 7:00 PM & are Equity Hall. Our next General Membership Meeting is Jan. 12 at 7:00 PM, potluck at 6:30.
Thank you to everyone that has helped me over the last 9 years working the door, decorating the hall, and helping whenever it was necessary!
Last time I have to do this so see you around dancing!
