PROGRAM

In-depth study of Italian opera history and tradition (see: Publisher Pasquale Ricci Ricordi’s pieces for female and male voices), with special attention to the Verdi-trilogy (La Traviata, Il Trovatore, Rigoletto).

In-depth study of the repertoire of verism, with special attention to Puccini’s La Bohéme and Tosca, including all their roles and chorus movements, in addition to the roles of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor.

Staged performace of all roles. If a participant of the masterclass wishes to perform other roles, they must indicate it on the application form.

Information:

-  The masterclass is going to be held between 10 AM and 6 PM every day, from June 13 – 19, 2016. It is held by the Béla Bartók Institute of Music, University of Miskolc, in collaboration with the Opera Festival of Miskolc.

-  The masterclass is open for all singers regardless of nationality and age.

-  Participants of the masterclass will receive training in vocal technique and performance of the Italian literature of the 1800s and 1900s.

-  Active participants will have the opportunity to perform at the final concert on June 19, 2016 at the Bartók Hall of the Music Palace.

-  Performers of the final concert will be chosen by Maurizio Scarfeo, leader of the masterclass.

Participation fee:

-  for active participants 30.000,- HUF

-  for passive participants: 10.000,- HUF

-  daily pass (passive) 3.000,- HUF
