THE WILL OF BARBARA MUMMA, WIDOW OF GEORGE ANTHONY MUMMA Lancaster Co. Will F-1-78

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN......

I, Barbara Muma of Hempfield Township in the County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, widow and relict of George Muma deceased, being old and weak of body, but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and therefore thought proper to make my last will and testament in manner following that is to say:

First I order and it is my will that all my just debts end funeral expenses be paid and discharged as soon as conveniently may be after my decease by my executor, out of my estate.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my son George Muma, one shilling sterling money as and for his full whole share out of all my estate, he having had great advantage in the bequests made to him by his father.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my son David Muma, one shilling sterling money as and for his full and whole share out of all my estate and that also on account of the advantages he had in the bequests of his father.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Magdalen, the wife of Abraham Histand, the sum of twenty four pounds money in gold or silver aforehand and that on account of her remaining with her parents six years above her age.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary, the wife of Jacob Hertzler, the sum of thirty six pounds money aforesaid, and that on account of her remaining nine years over her age with her parents.

Item. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Barbara Muma, the sum of twelve pounds money aforesaid &forehand and that on account of her remaining three years over her age, with her parents.

Item. And the residue and remainder of my estate I give devise and bequeath unto my following children, viz: CHRISTIAN MUMA, HENRY MUMA, JACOB MUMA, MAGDALEN, the wife of Abraham Histand, JULIANA, The wife of David Mellinger; MARY, the wife of Jacob Hertzler; and BARBARA MUMA and order the same to be equally divided among them share and share alike. And in case my daughter Mary, the wife of Jacob Hertzler should die without children, then and in that case, I order that the specific legacy herein to her given, also the last above mentioned equal share of the residue, shall fall back and be equally divided among tie rest of my last above mentioned children or their legal representatives...

And in case I should be sickly or otherwise weak so that I should stand in need of attendance, in that case I order that my executors shall before the dividend in made, pay unto any of my sons or daughters who have attended me in my illness, such reward for it as he shall judge reasonable:

And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my friend David Brubacker of Hempfield Township whole and sole executor of this my last will and testament making hereby null and void all former and other wills by me made. Declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament. Witness my hand and seal this Twenty Fourth day of October. A Dom. One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Eight.
