Scope

The RHN is a leading national centre of excellence, providing adult person-centred services that span the entire care pathway from post-acute rehabilitation services to end of life care, for people with complex Neuro-disability, underpinned by a strong research and education programme.

The post-holder will provide support to the Head of Contract Management and the Performance Information & Health Records Manager in the maintenance of CCG and local authority healthcare contracts with responsibility assisting in the formation and monitoring of Continuing Health Care (CHC) and Complex Care contracts.

Main Objectives of the Role

·  Demonstrate an awareness of RHN’s objectives and contribute to achieving them appropriately.

·  General contract management

·  Provide performance data management support to the Head of Contracting and the Performance Information and Health Records Manager as required.

·  In conjunction with the Performance Information and Health Records Manager produce contractually required monitoring reports.

·  Support the production of analytical reports to support Operational Management and business planning.

·  In conjunction with the Performance Information & Health Records Manager, ensure that robust systems and processes are in place to ensure the maintenance of accurate and accessible performance monitoring and management data and its analysis in all contracted activities.

·  Producing internal and external reports, ensuring accuracy, relevance and accessibility of performance data and information analyses.

·  Providing support to management teams in presenting performance management information.

·  Provide information and insight to enable effective monitoring of service provision against contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Contract and Activity Management

·  Provide support to the Head of Contract Management and other members of the Contracting Team in providing advice and information to support contract management on behalf of the RHN.

·  Provide accurate and timely information reports in line with NHS and RHN requirements.

·  Manage the RHN contracts register on a daily basis.

·  Assist in the review of income contracts and provide advice to senior managers as appropriate.

·  Provide support to Managers in meeting performance targets.

·  Produce standard and ad hoc information reports to enable the Directorate to plan appropriate service delivery against targets and service agreement levels.

·  Provide support and regular feedback on service performance to Head of Contract Management.

Person Specification

·  Educated to A level or equivalent experience of working at a management level

·  Extensive knowledge of working in a NHS contracting environment

·  Data and information management experience

·  Good technical data processing skills, including advance reporting skills

·  Personal credibility to work with a range of managerial and other staff across all levels of the organisation

·  Ability to analyse complex problems and propose realistic solutions
