Salary / £25,000 - £27,000 pa (pro rata)
Hours of Work / 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday (with some evening and weekend work)
Job Summary / The post holder will be responsible for:
·  Raising the profile and increasing the awareness of St John’s Community Hub, known as The Bubble, by engaging with external partners who will provide a regular variety of social and health-related activities
·  Managing The Bubble, building on the existing activities programme, as above, and extending these to older people in the community
·  Working with the Activities and Community Outreach Co-ordinator and Activities Assistant to ensure the success of The Bubble
Main Duties & Responsibilities / ·  Build on existing services for Residents and older and vulnerable people from the community in the communal facility known as The Bubble, ensuring that these services meet the aims and objectives of the Charity
·  Work with and meet and greet any partners who are providing activities within The Bubble to ensure that these are provided safely and in accordance with St John’s policies
·  Ensure that all safeguarding requirements are implemented, recorded and meet legislative requirements
·  To liaise, advise and support the Independent Living Service Manager to the benefit of the residents
·  To liaise with St John’s Facilities Team, as required, towards ensuring that The Bubble is fully maintained in a timely manner, in line with legislation, regulations and funding requirements
·  To ensure that all Resident and service user complaints and enquiries are effectively handled in accordance with agreed policies and procedures, working at both stage one and two of the complaints investigation procedure
·  Work with Adult Social Care and other agencies in B&NES to promote the services that St John’s can offer to people in need in Bath and identify services that other organisations can deliver within The Bubble
·  Raise the profile of St John’s with a wide range of stakeholders, including forging robust links with the local statutory and voluntary agencies who can work in partnership with the Charity to deliver additional services for older and vulnerable people living in Bath and who are in need
·  Ensure that all insurance requirements in respect of The Bubble are met
·  To produce a quarterly report for the Director of Care including Key Performance Indicators
·  To act according with St John’s values; Care, Respect and Quality
·  Attend Residents’ meetings on an ad-hoc basis
·  Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues
·  Assist with other activity as requested by the Organisation’s leadership to deliver the strategy

Education & Qualifications / ·  2 A levels or equivalent
·  Proficient IT skills, e.g. Office, Excel, Databases
·  A satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure
Experience / ·  Experience of preparing, handling and storing of confidential information and records within legislative guidelines including Data / ·  Experience of working with older people in a similar setting
·  Experience of managing and taking action in response to potential safeguarding alerts
·  Experience of working positively with people from a variety of backgrounds
·  Experiencing of using Apple Mac computers
Knowledge and Skills / ·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  To be able to liaise appropriately with all levels of professional staff
