Scholarship Guidelines
- The scholarship recipient, each year, will be determined by a three member committee, of which a Knights of Columbus Council 1510 officer will be a member.
- First consideration will be to a student/child of a Knights of Columbus Council 1510 member. Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
50% financial need, scholarship, good moral and right conduct, and 50% participation in parish activities.
- The amount of the scholarship will be $1,000.00; one-half payable at the time of enrollment for each semester. The scholarship is not automatically renewable, but a recipient may annually re-apply for the scholarship.
- The applicant must be a graduate of a high school located in Norton Country and may be used for any level of vocational technical school or college education. The recipient must also be a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
- Application deadline is April 15. A standard application form will be available at the office of the School Counselor.
- A high school transcript must be submitted with the application, or a college transcript, if in college.
- The application must be signed by both the applicant and parent or guardian. Three reference names shall also be listed and each reference shall write a letter of recommendation to be submitted with the application.
- The application and letters of recommendation letters are to be returned to:
