Kyle Lessig, Director of Coaching is a native of Waterford CT and was born in to a soccer family. Kyle’s father Bill Lessig was inducted into the Connecticut Soccer Hall of Fame in 2002citing Lessig Sr.’s long time history as Head Coach of Connecticut College.

In Lessig’s early years he began to play in soccer camps as part of his daily life. As a youth player he played for Oakwood SC, a current USSDA Club and won three state championships and a Region 1 bronze medal. He was also a State, Regional and national team pool ODP player.

Lessig was awarded a full scholarship to Philadelphia Textilefor the NCAA Division 1 Soccer Program. He then transferred to University of Hartford to pursue a teaching degree and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education. During his time obtaining a Bachelor’s, Lessig played for the U of H Hawks, was named Captain and was 3 year starter.

With his college playing days behind him, Lessig moved on to playprofessional soccer. Kyle played in the professional USL A-League (Now NASL), Connecticut Wolves. He alsoplayed five seasons of professionalsoccerwith New Jersey Stallions (USL Pro League), the Philadelphia Freedom (USISL Indoor), Chicago Eagles Select (PDL), the Municipal de Goicoichea (Training Stint) and the Richmond Rowdies as a player and coach.

Lessig’s impressive coaching career includes 17 seasons in college, PDL Head Coach, Director of Player Development and as DOC. Additionally, he has acted as the Assistant Coach at Connecticut College, Technical Director for New London Sounder Premier, CT ODP Staff,Staff Coach BASA (Chicago), DOC Colonial FC (Williamsburg VA), VA ODP Staff, Director of Player Development AC Alliance (RVA), Staff Coach Richmond Strikers/Kickers, Head coach Richmond Kickers Future PDL, Head Coach Richmond Kickers/Rowdies Semi-Pro Indoor, and is currently the Director of Coaching for Stafford Soccer.

Kyle holds a USSF "A" license, National Youth License, and a NSCAA DOC Diploma.
