NEWTON AND BYWELL COMMUNITY HALL TRUST
MINUTES OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING HELD 17 November 2011.
1 Present Trish Palmer (Chair), Graham Collingham, Adrian Hinchcliffe, Fiona Hunter, Anne Moyle, Peter Stoddart Edwin Symm, Mark Weldon, John Woodman.
2 Apologies for Absence Rob Palmer, Margaret Howarth.
3 Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held 02.11.10.
The minutes were approved and there were no matters arising.
4 To Receive the Annual Report of the Trustees
The Secretary summarised key points from the report which was accepted by the meeting.
The report thanked all the Trustees and other volunteers who had helped run the Hall so successfully during the year. The report was approved.
5 To Receive the Accounts for 2009/10.
The accounts showed a strengthening position resulting from continuous surpluses over the last four years as a result of hiring the Hall out. Total revenue reserves stood at £22,397.65. The accounts were accepted. Mark Weldon was thanked for maintaining the Trust’s books of account and Adrian Hinchcliffe for compiling the accounts.
6 To Receive the Report of the Independent Examiner.
David Feeney had again acted as the Independent Examiner. The report did not draw out any issues or matters for attention. The report was accepted. Thanks expressed to David Feeney for carrying out this role.
7 The Election of Eight Trustees to Represent the Community.
The following people were nominated to act as Trustees representing the community during the coming year:
Graham Collingham
Margaret Howarth
Fiona Hunter
Anne Moyle
Rob Palmer
Trish Palmer
Mark Weldon
Peter Stoddart
All the above were elected.
Fiona Hunter made it clear that for personal reasons she may not be able to continue as trustee for the whole year.

The following nominations were noted:

Newton Table Tennis Club – Edwin Symm
Newton Farmers – John Woodman.
