Bongos Week Three - 11

Hello E in C

Resting Tone:
This is the resting tone of this song. The resting tone- we also call it the 1- is a very important note. It is the Home Note of the song like Home Base. It is also important because it usually one of the first notes that children will sing and 99.9% of the time in Music Together it is the last note of the song. So you can play with the resting tone at home by leaving the last note of the song off. This will give your children a chance to audiate the resting tone or sing it for you. This is why we play with the resting tone in so many different ways. See if you can find the resting note of your favourite songs at home – any song! (hot tip –remember it’s almost always the same note as the last note of the song!)
