Catherine Livsey

Since the age of six Catherine has done both Scottish Country and Highland dancing. In Highland she competed in competitions and championships, winning numerous prizes.

/ In her early 20s Catherine started her own Highland dancing school which she ran for about ten years. During this time she started teaching Scottish country dancing to adults taking them through BATD exams. After gaining her RSCDS full certificate Catherine started teaching the Leeds Branch advanced class. She has coached the Leeds branch ladies team, successfully winning the ladies' class at the Newcastle Festival on two occasions.
She has taught at a number of day schools and at the Spring Fling twice. Catherine is currently teaching the Leeds branch advanced class and monthly Sunday class, in addition to teaching their back-to-basics course.

NBDancers wishing to attend MUST

have a reasonable degree of competence,

have attended classes on a regular basis for at least two years, and

be familiar with the standard dance formations.

If in doubt - please ask your regular dance teacher for his/her opinion.
