Definitions:
1. Wetland- Any area of land that is covered or seasonally covered with water. It can be further classified as salt water or fresh water.
2. Eco-system – is the way in which all living forms interact and are dependent on each other within a given environment
3. Pond – a well defined basin filled with stagnant water and fringed with vegetation
4. Marsh – Areas located near rivers or the sea, they are overgrown with grasses, sedges etc and are periodically flooded
5. A swamp – A wooded marsh that has shrubs, herbs, and supports tree growth. It has waterlogged conditions and is mostly covered by water in the wet season.
