Re: Abstract No. C36: "Stainless steel structures in fire"

Dear Author:

The review process for the 5th International Conference on Structures in Fire (SiF’08) has been completed. We have received a total of 106 abstracts for this year’s conference. As you know, the main principles of SiF conference are high quality presentations/papers, a single-tack session (no parallel sessions) and sufficient time for each presenter to stimulate discussion. SiF steering committee has finalized the list of presentations and posters based on the review of each abstract by atleast three reviewers selected from the scientific committee.

This year’s conference is planned over three days and hence we can accommodate a maximum of 60 oral presentations. In addition, we can accommodate a number of poster presentations, that are worthy of consideration for presentation, but can not make it due to limited number of slots. We are going to prepare proceedings containing full-length papers of both oral presentation and poster presentation submissions.

We are pleased to inform you that your abstract (No. C13), entitled "Stainless steel structures in fire", has been accepted for oral presentation at the SiF'08 Conference. This acceptance is based on the following conditions:

1. You deliver the full-paper, between 6 and 12 pages long, STRICTLY COMPLYING with the corresponding SiF'08 template before March 31, 2008, to SiF Organizing Committee at

2. You incorporate reviewers' comments, arsing from your abstract review, in the paper (comments can be found at the end of this letter).

3. You or your co-author register for the conference before March 31st, 2008 (by paying the appropriate conference registration fees) and deliver the presentation at the conference.

The published proceedings containing the full-length papers (in a book format) will be distributed at the registration desk at the beginning of the Conference. Also, some selected papers may be published in a special issue of an international journal (still being negotiated). The instructions for preparing the camera-ready manuscript can be found on the website (http://www.ntu.edu.sg/cee/sif-08). The website also has details on registration, accommodation and travel arrangements. For any clarifications you can contact the conference secretariat at

On behalf of Organizing and Scientific committees, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your valuable contribution to the success of SiF'08.

We look forward to welcoming you in Singapore for the SiF'08.

Sincerely,
