Learning Outcomes / To create group cardboard costumes for fashion show
Diferentiated LOs if applicable / None specific – although having a few pre drawing patterns will enable the slower students to get straight into the painting

Resources / Pre cut cardboard squares 15cm x 15 cm or recycled CD’s

STRUCTURE of the Lesson / Starter Activities session 1
Introduce session with brief PowerPoint ( see attached) about ‘hinged’ fashion.
Main Activities session 1
Students to individually create at least 2 squares or discs, one with section from Hundertwasser postcard, other from own imagination – using only complimentary colours
Plenary Activities1 After tidying up – all students to view class work and discuss what went well, what were problems, what advice can they give each other.

Starter Activities session 2
Introduce session and review by looking at PowerPoint ( see attached) about ‘hinged’ fashion again. Explain and demo possible joining techniques, ie wool, wire, glue onto fabric etc. Class split into 5 groups of 6
Main Activities session 1
Students must discuss, listen and work as a team, and try out ideas and combinations of shapes for final fashion item. Once agreed – create final item of clothing or jewellery.
