Classroom Rules and Responsibilities
for
Mrs. Miller’s Spanish Class

1. Follow directions.

  • Pay attention. If you are aware of what’s going on, you will see that learning a second language comes much easier.

2. Follow classroom protocol.

  • Arrive to class on time. You are to be seated and begin working.
  • There is no gum chewing during class.

After several warnings, I will start to deduct points from your homework average.

  • Please raise your hand before you speak. Be respectful and courteous to those around you.

3. Complete all work.

  • Homework is a crucial element to learning any foreign language.

Each incomplete or missing homework assignment will result in a deduction of five points from your homework average.

  • Each homework assignment has a due date- my due date, not yours! Homework assigned can not be made up unless otherwise indicated. We always review homework in class the next day.
  • Being unprepared for class in excess of three times will also result in a deduction of five pointsfrom your homework average.
  • In case of a project/ long term assignment, if you do not hand it in on the designated due date, you have one day in which to turn it in. After this one extra day, you will receive a zero for this assignment.

4. Do your best to achieve good grades.

  • Your grade will be based on the following: quizzes, tests, projects, homework, and classroom activities.
  • If you pay attention in class, complete all assignments and maintain an organized notebook/ binder, you will do very well in this class.
  • Extra Help will be made available upon a students/parent’s request. help. I am available before and during school. Just ask!
