Uniform feedback

Allisonrequested additional uniform items and informed the store of some issues with uniform. The Governors were invited to share any issues so they can be taken forward for the next year:

  • Shop only accepts cash, should accept card
  • New shop sell both old and new stock so some items are good quality and some are not
  • Changing small size shorts to elasticated waist
  • Aware of the issue with the culottes – this has been reported
  • PE tracks are not good quality – this has been reported and better material will be used
  • A Governor to request samples
  • Students need to wear blazers, shirt and tie for formal events

Inspection feedback

  • A copy of the written feedback we receivedfrom inspectors was given to the Governors.
  • This identifies key strengths and weaknesses. There were too many strengths to list but they will all be included in the final report.
  • SLT done joint lesson observations with inspectors
  • Cannot be shared with parents and cannot publish until we receive the final report
  • Has to go through Quality Assurance before it comes back to us
  • Final report will be published on the website

Swimming

  • If we didn’t have swimming for 1 term we could not ensure all students would swim.
  • Swimming pool and area inside is controlled to ensure the temp is acceptable for the students.
  • AC has been switched off in the classrooms at the moment, temp is normally set in the classroomsto 27 degrees during winter months.
  • If parents do not want their child to swim they can opt out. Have very few children who choose not to swim.

AOB

  • Kidmar – pool maintenance, pump room maintenance and provide lifeguards.
  • Sports day will be organised in the next few weeks due to the number of events that are now scheduled. Will inform when it has been organised.
  • Movie night update
