Goals & Initiatives
GSHRM’s GENERAL OBJECTIVES – 2016-2018
1. Provide activities to the membership which promote professional development.
2. Provide members leadership development opportunities.
3. Provide current information on human resource trends and practices and develop partnerships to address people management challenges that influence the effectiveness and sustainability of their organizations and communities.
4. Provide a network for the exchange of ideas and problem solving.
5. Provide information on legislative issues that impact the human resource profession, and to partner with SHRM in national and state grassroots networks.
6. Promote the use of sound and ethical human resource management practices in the profession and further the role of HR as Advisor and Advocate.
7. Attract and engage senior HR executives and business/organization leaders.
8. Expand the reach of GSHRM throughout the community by becoming the voice of HR on social media and with local business publications.
GSHRM’s General 3-Year GOALS – 2016-2018
1. Increase GSHRM membership by at least 3% each year.
2. Increase member involvement and leadership by 15% each year.
3. Promote the HR certification process in an effort to increase the number of GSHRM certified professionals by 3% each year.
4. Provide a minimum of 10 programs worthy of professional development credits each year.
5. Increase average meeting attendance by 10% each year.
