Instructions for Use

Battery Power Indicator

For your convenience, Max Power Digital includes a built-in battery power indicator. To use the indicator, tap the multi-function button on the battery. The LEDs will illuminate continuously for 5 seconds. The number of LEDs that illuminate indicates the amount of power in the battery as follows:

[OOOO]HIGH CHARGE

[OO]LOW CHARGE

[O]VERY LOW CHARGE

Enabling and Disabling Service Mode – PSP 2000 only

The Max Power Digital battery can act as a special ‘Service Mode’ battery or a conventional battery on the PSP 2000.

NOTE: The Max Power Digital Battery cannot enable ‘Service Mode’ on a PSP 3000.

To identify which mode the battery is in, tap the multi-function button once:

  • If the lower LED nearest the button illuminates briefly then the battery is in ‘Normal Mode’.
  • If the top LED furthest from the button illuminates briefly then the battery is in ‘Service Mode’

The LEDs will then change to indicate the battery capacity. See above.

To change the mode of the battery, press and hold the multi-function button for 5 seconds and the battery will toggle modes.

Charging the Battery

Charge the Max Power Digital in just the same way as you would an original PSP battery. Always charge the battery in Normal Mode. The first time you use the battery you should fully charge it by installing it into your PSP and connecting your PSP to an electrical outlet until the PSP’s POWER indicator light, which will be lit orange during charging, goes off.
