Re: Extended work hours on Schofields Road upgrade stage 1 – Saturday 9 March 2013
Between Windsor Road and Tallawong Road at Rouse Hill
Road and Maritime Services (RMS) are carrying out construction work to upgrade Schofields Road between Windsor Road and Tallawong Road, at Rouse Hill. This project will enable Schofields Road to operate as a key east-west link within the North West Grown Centre area as it develops. Construction work is being undertaken by OHL-Abergeldie Joint Venture.
As part of the road upgrade work this includes the construction of twin bridges over Second Ponds Creek.
Preliminary work will be undertaken to move the overhead electrical cable in preparation for the bridge girders to be lifted safely into position.
This work was originally planned for Saturday 23 February 2013, however due to wet weather conditions was postponed and will now be undertaken on Saturday 9 March 2013, weather permitting.
Work hours will be extended for this Saturdayfrom 7am to 5pm withcontra-flow traffic arrangements in place.
General working hours are from Monday to Friday between 7am to 6pm. Saturday work will occur where required from 8am to 1pm.
There will be some noise associated with this work, however every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise on residents.
Please follow the signs, including reduced speed limits and the directions of traffic controllers. Minor delays are expected due to the changed traffic conditions.
