A minutes silence was held in memory of Cllr. Paul Frampton

Funeral to be held on 31st March 2pm at Trostrey Church, 3pm crematorium, followed by The Beaufort in Raglan.

3. Minutes of Previous Meeting

Meeting 313 held on Wednesday 26th February 2014 at 8pm. Cllr. Simon Carbury asked the councillors if it was their wish that he sign the minutes. This was proposed by Cllr. Charles Kirby and seconded by Cllr. Maggie Godwin. All in attendance agreed and the minutes were signed by the chairman Cllr. Simon Carbury.

5. Neighbourhood Watch Report

OWL correspondence included in clerks report attached.

6. County Councillor Report

Attended PACT Meeting on 5th March, minimal turn out. Written to Police and Crime Commissioner asking if non-injury road incidents attended by the police could be recorded, fast response received ‘in process of receiving statistics’. Meeting with CI Bull, re A472. Wrote to the managers of home delivery stores – Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Iceland asking them to advise their delivery drivers to observe speed limits and reduce speed, good customer relations.

With BAE social club closing in May, wondered if Usk Rugby Club would be interested

Shanks appeal against Torfaen Councils refusal for anaerobic Digester at New Inn, may go away.

Application for Mamhilad Urban Village Development, from Jockey Pub to next roundabout, proposed scoping request.

Visited partly constructed ‘energy from waste’ at Trident Park, Cardiff

Critical Care unit is to go ahead, follow up visit to St Woolos and Neville Hall hospitals. Impressed with the cleanliness of St Woolos Hospital.

Fire Authority voted to close Blaina Station, very sensitive as 2 fire fighters and a child lost in blaze in 1996.
